New Sports Hall
The new sustainable sports hall in Copenhagen is placed in a light airy space adjacent to a football field and with water to the other side. The sports hall is designed as a square wooden building, with plenty of daylight coming from both façade and roof. The hall is dimensioned to handball, badminton and basketball and is the natural center point of the building, connected to the arrival area and foyer. Seating, including disability seats, will be established on both sides of the hall appearing as a natural extension of the sports floor.
A multifunctional space is placed on the north-western corner with easy access through the internal staircase. The space can be used for dancing, yoga, gymnastics and other exercise with a larger demand on space.
