The dynamic shape of this successful competition proposal deriveds from the client's requirements for a flexible, sustainable and iconic administration building for the Municipality of Lund.
Lund’s City Hall will become the most sustainable town hall in Sweden and will host citizen service centre and administration, offices and restaurant with a roof terrace overlooking the historical city. The house's sustainability profile is created from an active effort to design a building with an excellent social context and providing good indoor climate for the end users. While providing a new landmark building for the Municipality of Lund, the building sits in a complex context between city, rail tracks and park.
Due for completion in 2014.
