Navitas is situated on the old harbor front in Aarhus facing the sea, and since summer 2014 more than 2,000 students, lecturers and professionals have had their daily life in the star shaped building. Navitas houses the School of Engineering Aarhus University, Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering and INCUBA Science Park and a public underground car park with approx. 450 parking spaces. It is Denmark’s largest low-energy building, establishing a first class environment for learning, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Navitas is an innovative campus for energy, environment and civil engineering, providing education, development and training with focus on energy. Navitas has a very ambitious green profile, meaning that the building will use only a fraction of the energy normally consumed by a building of this type. A Large outdoor woodden staircase along the canteen opens up the building for both the public and the students, and has become a popular recreational space on the habour.
