Kistefossdammen Nursery - Norway

The new energy-plus nursery is based on a robust architectural design. Passive and technical solutions merge seamlessly with the architectural design, and spatial solutions in an integrated symbiosis.

The spatial design of the nursery is created to enhance movement, stimulate curiosity and motivate unbounded activity, to provide the children with an abundance of physical options.

The building is energy self-sufficient and produces an energy surplus.

The nursery is part of the Norwegian Future Built program, an initiative between three municipalities in the Oslo-region aiming to demonstrate the possibilities to create carbon neutral buildings with excellent architectural quality and design.
